| Instra won .HK Best Performance Partner Award 09 - 23 February, 2010, 10:27 am Instra at .HK Award Ceremony Instra Corporation was again named by HKIRC (Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited), the .HK Domain Name Registry, as their Best Overseas Performing Service Partner for the year 2009. As a global leading Domain Name and ENUM Registrar, Instra has been the best .HK domain name overseas provider since 2006. Chloe Li, Director of Domain Operations, accepted the Award at HKIRC’s 2009 Ceremony held in the Exchange Square Building in Hong Kong on 3 Feb. Chloe said “We recognise the importance of Hong Kong as a key gateway into China’s rapidly expanding Domain Name market.” HKIRC announced that ‘.香港’ registrations will be offered free to all ‘.hk’ customers in the second half of 2010 with the aim of helping them develop their sites with full Chinese domain names. This is to increase the popularity of Chinese domain names and to maximize benefits to the Internet community, and ultimately to sustain the status of Hong Kong as a digital city. Instra launched it support in Hong Kong IDN (internationalised domain name). Currently, Instra accept boths English and Chinese characters (both simplified and traditional) in Hong Kong Domain extensions, including .HK, .COM.HK and .公司.HK. Instra will be full participate and support ‘.香港’ launch.
