You should select the Sunrise AD (Sponsored Adult Domain) option if:

You are a member of the sponsored community, or if you have elected to become a member of the sponsored community.

You can demonstrate that you provide online Adult Entertainment services under an existing recognized domain name license. For example, if you currently own example.com and would like to apply for example.xxx, you should do so during this period.

Pre-existing adult domain names must have been registered and in use prior to February 1 2010. Please note that the Sunrise AD (Adult Existing Domain Names) excludes domains used primarily for parking or forwarding.

Domain Name Registrations are not awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is two or more validated domain name applications for the same domain name, the domain name will be referred to an auction. Applicants will then have the opportunity to bid for the domain name.

Both Sunrise AT (Adult Trademark) and Sunrise AD (Existing Adult Domain) applications will receive priority over Sunrise SRB (Trademarked Blocked Registrations) applications.

Sunrise AD Authentication Process

During Sunrise AD, members of the Sponsored Community are required to authenticate before they are awarded the domain or proceed to auction. The deadline will be up to 48 hours after the close of Sunrise AD. If the Applicant does not authenticate via our membership validation process by the deadline, they will lose their application and no refund will be provided.

The authentication process during Sunrise AD will be:

1. The Registrant registers domain(s) with Registrar and attests he/she is a member of the Sponsored Community
2. The Registrar submits the application(s) to Registry
3. The Registry emails the Registrant a link to authenticate on our website within 24 hours of submission
4. The Registrant completes the authentication process from the link provided
